The course, designed by Donald Steel, opened in 1989 and a year later it hosted the second edition of the Open de Tenerife, part of the PGA European Tour.
The 18-hole course on the south coast of Tenerife is by the sea, bordering the Marina San Miguel. The designer took advantage of the beautiful contrasts of the island to achieve a varied course with stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and Mount Teide.
The par 3 5th hole, a real gem for golfers, with the sea as fairway the ball must carry a rocky inlet to reach the green.
The course lies directly on the flight path to Reina Sofia airport so can be noisy.
