Pravets Golf & Spa Resort is an 18-hole, par 72 over 6,400 meters (approx. 7,000 yards) championship golf course, designed by Peter Harradine.
The parkland-style golf course boasts tremendous views of the local mountains and large lake that it plays alongside. Across the lake is the wonderfully impressive RIU Pravets Hotel, indeed you can sit on the terrace eating breakfast whilst viewing your challenge across the lake!
The RIU Pravets Hotel has a world-class 3,000-sq.m SPA center and guests can experience its luxurious and intimate atmosphere after a round on the 18-hole Championship golf course. You can experience, elegant gourmet dining and have a lively night in the piano bar in the basement.
On the course itself, there are five sets of tees on each hole. The 8th hole has an island green played from an elevated tee and is the ultimate risk-reward hole. Memorably the 9th and 18th greens are combined on a huge double green, (and we mean huge). If you end up by the wrong stick you run the risk of dislocating your shoulders getting to the other!!!
This is one of a number of courses around the world with the dubious honour of being played before it was officially opened by our Managing Director, Neil Adams. The damage he caused was repairable (just) and the course opened on time!!
