The Alcanada Golf Club, 18 holes designed by the legendary architects Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr opened in 2003. It is 60 km north of Palma on a stretch of land which slopes gently down to the sea. The par 72 6,500 metre (approx.7,100 yard) course winds its way through pine, olive and holm oak trees, and has a marvellous view of the island of Alcanada and its lighthouse in the foreground and the mountains of the Sierra de Levante in the background.
It is a difficult woodland and links course which will prove a great challenge to all golfers.
