TorreMirona Golf & Spa Resort, designed by Jordi Soler Peix, opened in 1993 and is located about a 30-minute drive north of Girona between the forested foothills of the Pyrenees and the Gulf of Roses in the Mediterranean. TorreMirona Golf & Spa is an 18-hole par 72 6,100 meters (approx. 6,700 yards) parkland championship golf course. Although it is one of the lesser-known golfing venues in the Emporada region, TorreMirona Golf & Spa Resort offers the golfer a wonderful challenge. It has wide fairways and the large greens are relatively flat and make the course suitable for all standards of golfers. The terrain makes the course easy to walk. Golfers beware though, as several well-placed lakes and many devilish placed bunkers will catch out even the most experienced golfer. The 5th hole has a peninsular green and the 12th and 14th share a double green.
