As it says on the tin, the Montgomerie Maxx Royal Golf Course was designed by Colin Montgomerie and opened in 2008 and has hosted the Turkish Open Championship four times. A par 72 6,500 meters (approx. 7,100 yards) woodland/parkland course with perfect symmetry of six par 5’s, 4’s and 3’s.
If you like water, then the front nine is for you as it has lots of water hazards!! The back nine in contrast provides testing tee shots over large expanses of sandy wasteland. This is a tough track and rightly rated as one of the best in the Belek region. Many of the fairways play through mature pine forest.
In all there are eight lakes and several water hazards to avoid. The course uses natural sandy areas as hazards which come into play on more than half the holes and provide a buffer between the maintained areas and the natural vegetation.
The back nine of the Montgomerie course has floodlighting.
