The second oldest golf course in Vilamoura. Pinhal Golf Course was designered by Frank Pennink and opened in 1976, with a significant redesign in 1985 by Robert Trent Jones Sr.

Always a popular course in Vilamoura, Pinhal Golf Course par 72 and over 6,300 metres (approx. 6,900 yards) from the back tees, is no gentle giant!! The undulating parkland fairways are lined by pine trees. The Umbrella and Atlantic pines present a more significant challenge on fairways and at times on the approach into the greens. Thankfully the ponds and stream which come into play on five holes should not, for the most part, prevent a good score card.
