The Jack Nicklaus-designed course at Mission Hills Golf Resort in Phuket is the one to play if you want to play a seaside picture postcard golf course while in Phuket. On Phuket's gorgeous north-east coast, the golf course is nestled among mangrove trees. The golf course has fantastic ocean vistas from almost every hole and even has some ocean holes that play out over the Andaman Sea, similar to what you may see on a PGA tournament televised.
The crystal blue hues of the ocean waters and the brilliant greens of the Bermuda grass on the fairways and Paspalum Sea Isle 2000 grass on the putting surfaces contrast with the large white sand beach bunkers. The ocean vistas come at a cost, however, as water comes in to play on seven holes and the prevailing sea breezes make the play at certain times of the day very tricky.
