Loch Palm Golf Club is not the longest golf course in Phuket, but it is one of the most pleasant and consistent. Loch Palm is a natural going course nestled among a variety of jungle-clad hills, yet it's still capable of throwing down many challenges and providing any Phuket golfer a complete workout.
Palm trees are generously strewn across this parkland landscape, as the club's name suggests, but never too densely. The primary goal on the front nine is to keep the golf ball on dry land; many of the holes run beside the loch (a large lake), which has a propensity of cutting over some of the gently sloping fairways.
The short 2nd hole is one of many holes that tests golfers’ nerves around water. A par-5 with a significant amount of extensive and open bunkering that also comes into play. Shots too wayward require longer lengths to avoid finding the perimeter real estate or worse out-of-bounds.
