Gassan Legacy Golf Club, in Lamphun, was closed in 2013 for a thorough refurbishment by Schmidt-Curley, a US design firm. After being renamed Gassan Legacy, it reopened in late 2014.
The focus has been on new turf, drainage, and greenside hazards. Gassan Legacy emphasizes precision over distance on an already difficult course that includes water hazards and forced carry. From the tips, the Gassan course measures 6,852 yards.
