El Paraiso Golf Club's greatest appeal is its location approx. 14 Km from Marbella in a valley surrounded by hills with magnificent views of the coast. El Paraiso Golf Club was designed by Gary Player and opened in 1973. As would be expected of a Gary Player designed course it takes advantage of the slope of a hill which runs down to the sea.
The fairways are quite wide but beware the rough can be quite penal. The water hazards play an important role, both for the beauty they add to the course and because of the dangerous streams lying hidden in the roughs.
